Of the 412 roads our volunteers surveyed, 38% had visible structural failures within 14 months of being laid. Two in five had no contractor accountability board on site.
Public Infrastructure Issues
Footpaths missing, streetlights unrepaired for months, manholes uncovered near schools — small failures with predictable, preventable human cost.
Water Problems
In 9 of 18 surveyed wards, residents reported water supply under 4 hours/day. In 3, contamination complaints had been pending civic response for over 60 days.
Waste Management Challenges
Segregation at source is mandated, but collection is not. Citizens segregate; trucks mix. Behaviour change without system change is theatre.
Citizen Experiences
Across 230 interviews, one phrase repeated: 'We have stopped complaining.' That sentence is the real civic emergency.
